Steve has been instrumental in the continuing development of programs to promote hapkido, self defence and personal safety, offering workshops to different martial art schools, agencies and organizations including Self Defence Canada, Success College - Corrections and Policing Foundations, Critical National Infrastructure Authority - United Arab Emirates Coast Guard, Truro Martial Arts Academy, East Coast Wado Karate Club, Carr Taekwon-Do, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Ecole Secondaire du Sommet, Hercules SLR, and NSCC Deaf Studies program.

He also had the privilege to attend several clinics and seminars with 23-time world champion kickboxer Jean Yves Theriault, Jeet Kune Do authorities Makoto Kabayama and Rob Doley, Jiu Jitsu Hanshi John Therien, and Combat Hapkido Grandmaster John Pellegrini. He continues to train, attend clinics and seminars to enhance his skills.
